While most of us have been enjoying our summer vacation for a few weeks now, Summer Solstice just arrived. And if you’re like so many American families, this is the time of the year when we take advantage of the school break and take our tribes on the traditional summer vacay.
For some, that means a camping trip, for others a European adventure, and for many, this is when they are able to visit the most magical place on Earth, the Walt Disney World Resort. Visiting Disney during the summer might be your family tradition. Or this might be the one and only time you visit (hopefully not though! ; ). Either way, Summer 2017 is sure to be a summer to remember at Disney!
Unless you’ve been hiding under a rock, you’ve probably heard that Disney’s Animal Kingdom recently opened a brand-new land. Pandora- The World of Avatar is an out of this world adventure you won’t want to miss! With two brand new attractions to experience inside this interactive and stunning land, Pandora is beyond belief. Pro-tip: Be sure to grab a FastPass+ for Avatar Flight of Passage. If you love Soarin’ and are ok with thrill rides, you are going to be blown away by this experience! Lastly, if plan to visit during the day, be sure to come back when the sun has gone down. Pandora’s bioluminescent environment is all aglow in the evening and it is absolutely beautiful!
Any Wishes fans in the house?! Were you so heartbroken when they announced Wishes was leaving??? I wanted to CRY! I was terrified that this new “Wishes replacement show” (unworthy of a name because NOTHING could compare!) was going to be a big projection disappointment. Y’all I was so WRONG! Happily Ever After lives up the hype. In every way you can imagine. I won’t say anything else other than don’t miss it. Just DON’T. And… bring tissues. *happy tears*
As all Disney fans know, Disney’s Hollywood Studios is getting a MASSIVE update. With construction in full swing for both the new Toy Story Land and Star Wars Land, this park is going to become something really spectacular. Before everything changes at DHS, I highly recommend not bypassing this park. Because, really, who goes to WDW and doesn’t ride at least one of the best thrill rides there?! And the biggest thrills are found at DHS! While you’re there, don’t miss the brand new show The Music of Pixar Live! If you love Pixar movies and their soundtracks, this show is a wonderful way to enjoy your favorite songs from those movies played by an incredibly talented orchestra accompanied by film clips and your favorite Pixar characters. I didn’t know how my youngest would do in a 45-minute show but she was enthralled! My whole crew really enjoyed it.
